About Us
We are the "friendly folk at the
fork", located just off Rt 140 in Finksburg, Maryland where Bethel, Carrollton,
and Patapsco Roads intersect. Our family is a loving, prayerful community of believers
in Christ's teachings. Our services are informal
and include a Children's Story
Sermon complete with Pastor Dave's Can of Worms!
We offer Sunday School for all ages from 9:30-10:30am. Worship
service begins at 10:45 every Sunday morning; we
have a nursery for the little ones
and offer Junior Worship for children
ages 3-7. We also meet for weekly Bible Study on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00pm in the church fellowship hall.
Our Mission
Statement
The Carrollton Church of God exists
to honor and glorify God, presenting Jesus Christ as the way
to heaven and ministering in love to the spiritual, physical,
and emotional needs of our church family and our community.
History
The Carrollton Church of God
originated in 1886 and was known as the Church of God at
Bethel. In 1921, the original building was replaced with
the building in which we now worship. Upon completion of
the new structure in October of 1921, the original building
was immediately torn down. In recent years, the
Carrollton family has been blessed with the opportunity to
purchase a large piece of land adjacent to our property; we
plan to build a pavilion on that land so that we might
fellowship in the beauty of God's creation while also
ministering beyond the walls of our church building.
